Lake pleasant Regional Park is "a large recreational park straddling the Maricopa and Yavapai county border northwest of Phoenix, Arizona" (Wikipedia). The park and surrounding areas feature rugged mountains, numerous small canyons and rolling hills. The vegetation is typical of the upper Sonoran Desert, palo verde and mixed cacti being the common and dominant plants.
